Family-Integrated

At Greene Community Church, one phrase you will hear quite often is, "As goes the family, so goes the church."

But, what does this mean?

Here's the intent.  It only serves to reason that if those family units within our Body are not functioning as Christ-honoring, Biblical families, how can possibly function as an effective, Christ-honoring church family.

Does this mean that all family units "look" the same?  Certainly not.  At Greene Community Church, you'll find a variety of families, from blended families to single-parent families, from couples without children to couples with children.  You'll also find grandparents who have entered an entire new phase of shepherding the hearts of their ever-growing families.

Still yet, despite the varied portrait of a family, Scripture provides instruction as to how the "family" is to function.  And, what a beautiful picture!

At Greene Community Church, we believe that every family is a small "church" and that children are an immense blessing.  And, together, we make a covenant Body, committed to Christ and each other.

Worship first begins in the home.  Scriptural instruction first begins in the home.  Outreach first begins in the home.

Believing in the "centrality of the home" and the equipping, co-laboring task of the church, is what makes Greene Community Church a "family-integrated" Body.
